Wilson House Project: Princeton Campus Student Mission Outpost

Posted on 10:30 PM by Kung-Li Deng

Maybe we should name this "Hoogie Heaven's Neighbor" instead of "Wilson House".

Reason being that, if you are a Princeton student, especially graduate student, you MUST know Hoogie Heaven. Hoogie Heaven is a sandwich place that literally feeds HALF of the student body in Princeton. If you like Subway sandwith, too bad. you miss too much: Hoogie Heaven gives you a sandwich usually twice as big (and fatty....). And more than half of PhD thesis
should give credit to Hoogie Heaven

Wilson House is right next door to Hoogie Heaven.
It is now owned by Christian Union, a ministry outreach to Ivy League Schools. (Wilson House Website).

This is definitely a stop (not Hoogie Heaven :-)) when I prayer-jogging every day: I would stop and pray so this becomes an outpost to do mission on campus.

And the Lord answers our prayer recently by leading ministry (Bob Weiner website) and local churches (see below) to offer help to reach out international students. Also Christan Union, who runs Wilson House now, is willing to rent us their space on Friday evenings ( A miracle itself as it have been used by other activities until now and suddenly it is freed up).

Now, out of blue, we have teachers, location for an ESL program.

Please pray for us: this comes in a sudden: though we have prepared and prayer for several months but did not have any progress until last week. Everything seems to open up for us.

I would like to invite you to participate in this harvest
- Prayer: you can sign-up as a prayer warriors to keep this momentum going!!
- Go: you are welcome to participate in serving in the ESL program (food, host, coordinators)
- Give: please send check title "Agape House Fellowship" with note "Wilson House Project" to 2062 E. Wellington Rd, Newtown PA 18940

We estimate the cost (rental, food and other) is around $2000 for 7 sessions.

Especial thanks to Bob Weiner, who is willing to match up to $1000 for this effort from his ministry!!

Once we establish this "beachhead", we would like to follow the Lord's lead for next step. These is opportunity to work with Bob Weiner's ministry for future evangelical meetings and so on. Please pray.
