AHF Message: Whose Disciple Are You? - part 2
Posted on 5:03 PM by Kung-Li Deng
"Whose disciple are you?"
If I would only be allowed to use one question to sum up what Christianity has been looking for to answer, this is one.
As much as we would like to "think" that we follow ration, intellectual training and logic, studies have found that 90% of our believe system are automatically taken after people that bring impact in our life, especially toward our earlier, younger ages. In other words, we are created to imitate after a person that we trust and love.
We would teach and discipline our children just like the ways our parents or teachers did. We would choose similar path of life just like those who we respect most. We would weight some area of life so much more than others simply because that is the way we grow up to value.
"Disciple" of Jesus have made a profound impact in the history. To a point, the Greek word, "disciple" has been reserved for those who follow Jesus. And I would say that they are the most ordinary people but they all did extraordinary things throughout every chapter of Christian history.
In this scripture, we will meet a man born blind in Jesus' time, who was asked this question, " whose disciple are you?"
