Kids Corner: Elisha Helps A Widow
Posted on 1:43 PM by Kung-Li Deng
To You, Faithful Shepherds of your little ones:Zach and I both love the little story. God provides more than enough for a widow out of her difficulties. He performed a miracle by multiply a small jar of oil the widow had not only for her faith in God but also for her neighbor's kindness in sharing their empty jars. The craft will be a fun family activity that you can do with your kids. They can learn to count God's blessing as well as ways they can bless others.
Zach loves to put marbles in his 'Blessing Jar'. I really enjoy to listen to his counting, 'Thank God for healing my cold, thanks for helping me to find my pedometer, thanks God that I can play in the snow...' and he continued for ways he can bless others, 'I will pat a baby if she cries, I can clean my toys and help set up tables before dinner....'
Let's learn with your children about God's provision. At the same time we can teach them to show His love to others by caring people around us.
