Decision now that will influence next 10 more years

Wendesday night bible study.
Not as usual.
We had a special guest from Taiwan.

Carol, joining us from Taipei, spent about 1 hour with us before she went to work, of course, in the morning (12 hour difference).  

First time ever, we connect from East Coast. US (NJ, PA) with Taipei Taiwan and spend wonderful time talking, sharing and praying for each other. 

We started with several not-so-good-news: 
friends got let out out of sudden this past Monday.  3 layers of mangement were wiped up without any trace of sign for the pine slip coming.  
A couple, husband who is a CPA, found cancer about 6 months ago.  This week, they found that wife had early stage breast cancer.  

Is 2009, really a disaster year?  From men's eyes, yes, it is.

From God's point of view?

2009, translated into Jewish calendar is the Year of 5769.

I quickly did a little serach, and found the following from Wikipedia:

Year 5769 is the beginning of a new period of twenty-eight years - the Hebrew solar cycle,...

So this year, in Jewish calendar, brings freshness into a new begining of a long period of time: 28 years.  Wow. Zach will be close to 32 at that tme. (well let me skip estimate of my age)

Are we going back to the old cycle (previous 28 years) or jumping out of the old cycle into a new realm with renewal freshness?

Church Pierce mentioned this recently in his trip to Hong Kong: what w decide this year will influence greatly for next ten more years.  
And God has the best use of circustances to nudge, (ok ok ok)  and push us into the best position that we can fulfill his perfect purpose on us. 

察克‧皮爾斯：今年的決定影響未來十年

察克‧皮爾斯說，今年是轉移的一年，調整位置，預備進入新的季節，所以是非常重要的一年。他認為猶太年曆告訴我們有關每個年度的重要事情，2009年是猶太曆5769年，從數字的希伯來文隱含的意思可見：我們已經走了一個圈，現今到了突圍而出的時刻，若未能掌握機會，將會在原地踏步。他說，耶穌到訪馬大的家時，馬大認出了到訪的時刻，開門邀請耶穌進來，但由於有好多分心的事情，她在外圍一直兜圈子，以致錯過了這麼重要的時刻。「有時候我們有很多難處，其實是主迫使我們去到關口，免得錯過了機會。」他呼籲各人不要錯失機會，因為今年作出的決定會影響將來十年。

他又說，今年是猶如懷胎的一年，新的國度架構將會產生，恩賜的配搭會重整，以致對社會帶來改變。新的管治架構未成形之際，人會感到拉扯力，因為 神正在重新調配各人的位置，而 神今年帶來的管治架構將影響未來十年。他提示，跟誰連結聯繫？神給予你的權力範圍是哪裡？今年是決定性的一年。

但他又提醒在座的弟兄姊妹，神在今年會帶來衝擊，或是轉換工作、經歷試煉，但為的是讓我們前進，好像破繭而出的蝴蝶要經歷掙扎一樣，那就是生命的轉化。
