Luke 10 Principle" Man of Peace, Where Are You?

You can listen to this message I gave on June 15 at Agape House: Man of Peace, where are you?
June 15 Sunday Message.

I would like to add a more details and comments as below.

How fortunate we are today that we have all: Jesus had come, Holy Spirit had come, The Bible had come and was complete. We have much more than what Abraham had.
But how unfortunately we tend to add a bit here and there on top of the most fundamental things to us: Jesus, Holy Spirit and the Bible on our so called "church" today. As a result, we forget the most important aspect: keep it simple and close at home. That is what Abraham did and how he was called the father of faith to all nations.

I recently had a dream. In this dream, it seems to me that I have been a life-long friend to Abraham. He was a tall guy with a broad shoulder. Deep voice but very kind. In the dream, I had the privilege to watch him going about his daily life: eating and drinking with him, observing how he puts up his tent and entertains guest, working together with him to setup his altar with his son and family around it on daily basis.

First question to Abraham:
After awhile in the dream, I could not help asking him two questions.
"Why don't you settle down and build yourself a house? You have been only setting up tents where you go. Where is your destination? Do you know where you are going?" I was really puzzled after setting up tents with him all over his long journey from Ur, Harran, Hebron, Egypt and back to Canaan.
He looks at me in the eyes, his face is solemn and calm,
"Because I am a stranger in a foreign land", he answered.

Second question to Abraham:
"Why don't you worship in a temple? Are you sure what you are doing in this simple altar is right and enough? Don't you need the book, rule, law and priest......Where did you learn how to setup a altar?" I bubbled out the next question which bothers me most.
He turned to me, from his daily routine around his simple stone-made altar, and said
"What temple?"

Abraham was centering his household, his wife, his son, servants and every moving things around this simple, family altar. He was the priest, shepherd, pastor, apostle (you can fill in this list with all the titles you can name) to his household. He is the man of peace.
That is the reason that Issac was so obedient when he and his father were going to sacrifice him. For Issac, he had been around the altar for all his life with his father and family. So going to the altar with his father was really not that big a deal.......

Can we find a man and woman of peace in the household today? Where are you?
