A House that Changes the Nation
"Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve."
Mark 11:11
"The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household."
2 Samuel 6:13
What do there two verses in the bible have in common, especially when they were recorded at least several hundred of years apart?
They both give a similar picture of how God uses an ordinary house to accomplish His eternal purpose: bring his presence back to His House.
In Mark 11, Jesus stationed his ministry in Bethany, most likely in a house and started his triumph return to the city of Jerusalem from this humble house about 6 miles away from the main focus of his days.
In second Samuel 6, the ark of God, which symbolized the presence of God in the old testament bible, had to station at a house until it could be properly welcomed back to the city of Jerusalem.
Join this worship on-going tonight to see what we learn from these two houses: you and your house may find it inspiring!!
